Beyonce’s album release is all the rage because she DID NOT promote it. She let everyone else do the talking starting at 12AM on Friday the 13th. As a major artist not promoting your album is a big deal!
The irony is that indie artists have been dropping albums with no promotion for decades with no comparable press reaction. As an emerging artist, is it possible to top that release? It has yet to be seen but we can focus on making quality music and letting it go viral online.
“What If You Don’t Like Beyonce’s Album?” Basically, you’ll be hooked once you watch the videos and take a second listen. The buzz and sales growth of this album is undeniable, especially in this evolving music climate.
There are some things in life that you just can’t take too seriously. At the end of the day, life should be fun! Love the process. R. Kelly(no matter how you feel about him today) finds the fun in improvising. He is given four random topics to write about on the spot. A reminder that there are no rules.
As many of you know, we are in the studio making the first studio album! So grateful to everyone who joined VIP thus far to support and help make this happen! We are uncovering a unique fusion of sound for the Dani W Project, including Funk Rock, Hip Pop, and more. Excited to share this project with you!

Also, we have new pictures from the NolasLA show! LAKMG, a fully staffed and very driven artist development team based on Los Angeles, presented the first Soul and RnB Indie Express event at Nola‘s Los Angeles featuring my band, Danielle W. Carter and the Sounds of Soul. They really took great care to make sure my band and I were positioned for an excellent show. They even arranged for a post show interview with local publicist Jerica Williams.
My band was proud to kick off the evening with five original songs! Now is a fine time to introduce these talented musicians. Drum roll please….Chris Lee on the keys, Chuksingh on guitar, Melony Varnado on supporting vocals, Howard Brodwin on drums and Eric Frazier on bass. This was the very first time performing together as a full band. I feel honored and grateful everyday to collaborate with such talent. Big hugs and many thanks!

How time flies! Show is over and now I am sitting at a small coffee counter overlooking 43rd Street and 9th Avenue in the Big Apple. Taking a careful sip of my steamy mug, I watch thousands of shoes scurry down the worn cemented streets. Sometimes I’m amazed by the simple fact that it is so easy to pick up and leave one city for another, immersed in a brand new rhythm. It feels like a fresh start, or maybe what having a new identity would be like. All of the things that I “had to do” but didn’t have enough time to get to don’t seem as urgent when I step outside of my bubble. There are so many places I’m naturally drawn to that I know I must visit like the UK, Argentina, Peru, etc…Where do you want to go? There are definitely more adventures with my name on it. What could be waiting for you?
