When’s the last time you heard or saw something that made you stop and think, “wow, that’s exceptional?”
It doesn’t happen as often as I’d like. Today, I’m a lucky gal! I got an email from Chris Guillebeau who has a blog as well. He talks about the “unconventional book tour” mapped out at arbitrary places throughout the country. After reading the article below, it hit me that: one, I’m a huge do it yourselfer and two, in reminded that anything is possible. It’s easy for me to think things have to be a certain way…just like on TV and the movies right? Maybe not! What’s something that’s taking you longer than you’d like to complete? Now, is there another way to go about it? Whatever alternative solution you come up with may be even more authentic and creative because it’s your spin on it!
Try it on a big or small decision this week and comment below to let me know how your experience was.
It’s 11:40AM on Sunday in Nigeria. I’m sitting in my room missing a special someone. Have you ever been apart from someone who makes you happy? Feeling like you’re “locked out of heaven” is a bitter sweet problem to have. If you care for someone enough to miss them when you’re apart, or if you’ve been in a long distance relationship, I wrote this song for you.
Imagine you are sitting still in a chair gazing out of a frosty window. Then press Frozen Memories to find out what happens…
This is an exclusive listen to “Frozen Memories,” a new song that I co-wrote with David Smith and Tiffany Parker. It will be released on iTunes this Tuesday! Please visit http://www.itunes.com to purchase this song performed by Tiffany Parker.
Tiffany, David Smith and I meet at a NARIP event. NARIP is a global music professionals organization. It’s been a great resource and has a network full of people who truly care about making heartfelt music to set the mood for your favorite TV shows, movies and radio stations.
It’s a good feeling to be able to give life to this story. So many of our troops’ families have lived this song repeatedly. It’s my hope that this song can bring them and you peace and hope. Please leave a comment. Have you lived in this distant romance before? How did you cope?
Big thanks to you for following me online through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube! Because of your interest, I’m honored to be ranked among the top 3 ambient soul artists on Reverbnation. Just wait until you hear the new project comes out produced by Abstrakt Soundz. More eargasms to follow!
NARIP hosted a very heart warming tribute dinner for entertainment lawyer Al Schlesinger. It was touching to hear about his life and close personal relationships through his friends and peers. He has such a fruitful career filled with clients who have become life long friends. That is a huge part of what I consider to be a successful career. A wonderful evening of appreciation and celebration of a man who has deeply impacted lives and protected their crafts all at once.
Below are some pictures from the dinner. Tiffany Parker and I had the pleasure of sitting next to Lisa and Al Schmitt who is a 21-time Grammy winner. They were getting ready to celebrate their anniversary abroad the following week. So beautiful to see such a genuinely happy and loving couple.
We also had dinner with Mitzi and Dave Gold who is the co-founder of Gold Star Recording Studio and creator of The Wall of Sound. Recording Artist and Songwriter Tiffany Parker sat immediately next to Producer Ted Greenberg. It was a wonderful evening among many powerhouse professionals.
